HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, KENTUCKY, May 5, 2014 ― General Cable (NYSE: BGC) has introduced CCW® Arctic Armor Specialty Communications Cables with the reliability and operational excellence required for extreme conditions in subzero hazardous locations. Manufactured using precision-engineered, state-of-the-art equipment, these Continuously Corrugated Welded Cables pass the ASTM D746-04 brittleness temperature impact test at -60ºC and are UL approved to either MC-HL or ITC-HL listings.

General Cable’s CCW Arctic Armor Fieldbus, PROFIBUS and Category 5e Ethernet cables are flame retardant and moisture- and sunlight-resistant for use in indoor and outdoor, wet or dry, raceway, cable tray, aerial or direct buried environments.
