USTDA promotes smart grid in Kazakhstan

The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) awarded a grant to the Kazakhstan electricity distribution company, JSC Alatau Zharyk (AZHK), to provide a feasibility study on a distribution automation project in the Almaty region. The grant was signed yesterday at AZHK’s offices in Almaty by U.S. Consul General Michael G. Snowden on behalf of USTDA, and by AZHK Chairman of the Board Muhit Umbetov on behalf of AZHK.
