Upgrading the existing business
Reichelt Elektronik will be integrated into the Daetwyler Technical Components Division, but will continue to operate under the well established Reichelt Elektronik brand. After its acquisition of the Swedish ELFA Group in spring 2008, with the acquisition of Reichelt Dätwyler in its catalogue distribution business makes the second spurt for growth within two years. Due to quantities and economies of scale as well as thanks to strategic synergies the acquisition of Reichelt further upgrades the previous acquisitions of ELFA (2008, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe), Proditec (2006, Switzerland) and Schuricht (2001, Germany) as well as the Distrelec core business.

Consistent strategy of growth
With Schuricht and Reichelt, Daetwyler in the attractive German market advances to a leading supplier and strengthens its position as number two in the high margin catalogue distribution business for industrial electronics and automation in Central Europe. Collaboration of Reichelt with the other Daetwyler trading companies leads to further synergy potential, especially in purchasing, product management and catalogue production. Thanks to this consistent strategy of further developing and expanding its trading activities, Daetwyler in 2010 will for the first time generate more than half of group sales in the Technical Components Division.
