SYNERGY CABLES Ltd., established in 1934, produces cable products that cover the entire range of copper, aluminum and fiber optic cables for telecommunication, power and electronics. Our products range from A to Z: from airfield lighting cables to zero halogen cables.

    A. GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CABLES

    1. ELECTRIC CHARACTERISTICS

    -Operating voltage U 63 Kv
    -Maximum tension Um 72,5 Kv
    -Tension phase with the Uo ground 36 Kv
    -Assigned frequency 50 Hz
    -Tension of behaviour to the shock of the lightning 325 Kv
    -Level of pollution (CEI 60815) Strong (level IV)
    -Tension induced on the metal screen 36 v

    2. DRIVER

    The driver must be in conformity with standard CEI 60228. It is of circular cross-section type.

    3. CONDUCTING SCREEN

    The cables must be provided with a conducting screen. The screen is composed of one or more layers of semiconductor material. The conducting screen, the insulator and the screen on insulator must be extruded simultaneously.

    In condition normals of exploitation, the maximum gradient of potential of the cable should not exceed 6 kv/mm on the level of the internal semiconductor and 3 kv/mm of the external semiconductor.

    4. INSULATOR

    The insulator consists of extruded PR. The conducting screen, the insulator and the screen on insulator must be extruded simultaneously. The performances of insulator must be in conformity with the following values:

    - Maximum Temperature of exploitation: 90° C
    - Maximum Temperature in emergency mode 105° C
    - Dielectric loss Angle maximum in Uo: 14 X 10

    5. SCREEN ON INSULATOR

    The screen is composed of one or more layers of semiconductor material. The conducting screen, the insulator and the screen on insulator must be extruded simultaneously

    6. METAL SCREEN

    The metal screen must be in conformity with the following points:
    - It must hold the current of short-circuit single-phase current without damage
    - It must ensure the radial sealing of insulator
    - It must ensure a mechanical and chemical protection insulator

    The metal screen can be:

    - Out of undulated aluminum
    - An aluminum foil applied longitudinally
    - A lead screen

    If necessary, of the copper wires or aluminum are allowed under the metal screen to ensure conformity the current of short-circuit. The dimensioning of the metal screen must be in conformity with the CEI 60949

    7. EXTERNAL SHEATH

    External protection consists of an extruded layer of material PVC or EP. This material must ensure the protection of the metal screen against the mechanical corrosion and aggressions. It must be in conformity with standard CEI 60332-1.

    8. MARKING OF THE SHEATH

    The cables must carry on the external sheath a location including/understanding:

    - The reference to the specification
    - The name manufacturer
    - The indication of the section and the nature of the heart
    -The nature of the insulating envelope
    - The assigned tension Uo/U (Um)
    - The year of manufacture
    - A reference mark allowing the identification of the manufacturing batch

    Marking is carried out on the external sheath by relief or copper plate printing on two generators diametrically opposite. The interval ranging between the end of an inscription and the beginning of following should not exceed a meter. On request, an indicative metric reference mark can be carried on the external sheath, for example on a third generator, with 90° of the generators of reference.

    The minimum high of characters is 4 mm

    All the accessories will be supplied with the cable.

    B. DIMENTIONNEMENT OF THE CABLES

    GENERAL PRINCIPLES

    The cables will be unipolar, with synthetic insulation containing reticulated polyethylene (PR) The cables will have to be of section 240 mm ² for the Cu or out of Aluminum of section to be determined, of equivalent characteristics.
